Peter grew up in Selden, New York, located in the heart of Long Island. After high school, he served in the United States Navy in San Diego, CA. Following his military service, he attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, graduating in 1996 with a BS in General Studies, focusing on Architectural Design, Design Communications, Psychology, and Military Sciences.
In 1996, Peter relocated to Houston and began his career in retail before transitioning to the financial services industry in 1998. Over the past 25 years, he has dedicated himself to helping clients make informed decisions about their financial futures. Throughout his career, Peter has held various roles, including mentor, sales manager, National Sales Trainer, and Managing Director, with companies such as Van Kampen American Capital, Valic, American General, Prudential, and Penn Mutual and Ohio National.
In 2022, Peter decided to pursue his goal of starting his own independent firm. In August 2023, he achieved this goal by launching Houston Retirement Solutions, LLC, a veteran-owned business serving the insurance and financial needs of the Greater Houston Community.
Peter is married with three children and one granddaughter, residing in Southwest Houston. He actively engages in community service, serving as a Leadership Houston Alumni, Houston Citizens Police Academy Alumni, and holding leadership positions in the Sharpstown Civic Association and Houston Chapter of the National Association of Insurance Financial Advisors.
Additionally, Peter serves as Vice Chairman and Public Safety Committee Chairman on the Southwest Management District Board of Directors and participates in various committees focused on finance, business and economic development, and environment and urban design.
Outside of work and community involvement, Peter is passionate about baseball. He has coached at Bayland Park Little League and founded his own 501c(3) Select Baseball Team, the Katy Raiders.
Peter’s commitment to financial education has led him to collaborate with organizations such as Small Business Development Center through the University of Houston, Houston Christian University and management districts throughout Houston.
