Step-by-Step Instructions

This will take you to the sign-up page. Click the blue “Create an Account” button again. - Choose Your Login Method
SSA now uses login.gov or ID.me to verify identity. Choose either option (both are secure government partners).- If you already have a gov or ID.me account (for FAFSA, TSA PreCheck, IRS, etc.), you can use the same login.
- If not, you’ll be guided through setting one up — including verifying your identity using personal info, photo ID, and possibly a selfie.
